He caused a<br/>powerful wind to pass over the earth for the purpose of drying up<br/>the waters, which moved them with great force—in some instances<br/>carrying away the tops of the mountains like mighty avalanches,<br/>forming huge hills and high mountains where there were none to<br/>be seen before, and burying the dead bodies with trees, stones, and<br/>earth. <br/>Before the flood there were immense forests. The trees were<br/>[many times larger than any trees which we now see. They were of<br/>great durability. They would know nothing of decay for hundreds of<br/>years. At the time of the flood, these forests were torn up or broken<br/>down and buried in the earth. In some places large quantities of these<br/>immense trees were thrown together and covered with stones and<br/>earth by the commotions of the flood. They have since petrified and<br/>become coal, which accounts for the large coal beds which are now<br/>found. This coal has produced oil.(Spirit of Prophecy Vol.1p 62-63)")

But he is afflicted with old age and has weak [i.e., immature] offspring, and it is hit by a whirlwind containing fire and is burned. Thus does Allāh make clear to you [His] verses that you might give thought. ”<br/><br/>Surah Al-Baqarah, Ayat 266 (Urdu Translation): “ کیا تم میں سے کوئی بھی یہ چاہتا ہے کہ اس کا کھجوروں اور انگوروں کا باغ ہو، جس میں نہریں بہہ رہی ہوں اور ہر قسم کے پھل موجود ہوں، اس شخص کا بڑھاپا آگیا ہو، اس کے ننھے ننھے سے بچے بھی ہوں اور اچانک باغ کو بگوﻻ لگ جائے جس میں آگ بھی ہو، پس وه باغ جل جائے ، اسی طرح اللہ تعالیٰ تمہارے لئے آیتیں بیان کرتا ہے تاکہ تم غوروفکر کرو۔ ”<br/><br/>The English translation by Saheeh International and the Urdu translation by Maulana Muhammad Junagarhi, both published by the renowned King Fahd Glorious Qur'an Printing Complex (KFGQPC). The trees were<br/>[many times larger than any trees which we now see. They were of<br/>great durability. They would know nothing of decay for hundreds of<br/>years. At the time of the flood, these forests were torn up or broken<br/>down and buried in the earth. In some places large quantities of these<br/>immense trees were thrown together and covered with stones and<br/>earth by the commotions of the flood. They have since petrified and<br/>become coal, which accounts for the large coal beds which are now<br/>found. This coal has produced oil.(Spirit of Prophecy Vol.1p 62-63)")
