The project, structured in three main parts, can be fully experienced when the visitor stands in the centre of the pavilion that links left, right, front and back spaces. To be in the middle carries a symbolic meaning, it is both physical and ontological. The deputy first located and followed an older vehicle fitting the description, but was advised that the vehicle in question was a newer model. Shortly thereafter the deputy located and attempted to stop a vehicle more closely fitting the description, but the driver did not stop. The driver turned eastbound onto Louisiana highway 4 and drove toward Franklin Parish at normal rates of speed, up to about 55 MPH (the speed limit), despite the deputy's emergency lights and siren. The pursuit continued for approximately 5 miles before the driver slowed and came to a stop, where he was taken into custody. Curiously, the deputy called for EMS to check the suspect out. After the suspect was cleared by EMS, he was taken to the jail. Curiously, a detective was called to the jail, and someone was taken by police car from the jail to the hospital. That person was at the hospital for over 3 hours before being taken back to the jail. It's unknown whether that was related or not.<br/><br/>Both deputies involved in this have been involved in multiple excessive force incidents, are both co-defendants in a civil rights lawsuit over a very severe excessive force incident, and are both known to be unreasonably violent with people. That is not to allege that they used excessive force on this person, but rather to say that they do have a documented history of doing so with others and that it is always a possibility. It's unknown why EMS was needed in this case. It's possible that the person may have been suffering from hypoglycemia or some other medical issue - I have actually heard reasonable-speed vehicle pursuits in the past where the suspect turned out to be diabetic and their blood sugar was dangerously low.<br/><br/>It is also unknown whether this in fact was the person and vehicle the call was about, or whether the deputy simply saw one that fit the description and decided to stop it for having an \")

Complainant who wasn't home, was advised by a neighbor that a pickup truck had been parked in her driveway for approximately 30 minutes, the driver of which was possibly fishing in her private pond, and she wanted a deputy to check it out. The vehicle's license plate returned to a fellow deputy - whose name the dispatcher either accidentally misread, or intentionally misstated in an effort to keep it off the air and therefore cover up the crime. They determined it was likely that deputy's son - but I think it could have just as easily been the deputy himself.<br/><br/>That deputy happens to be the same one who was caught earlier in the month walking through a woman's yard and shining a flashlight through her windows, and a few months prior was also caught acting suspicious near another woman's house and mailbox in a different area of the parish. If it was him this time, that makes twice in less than a month - and three times in 5 months - that he was caught and reported acting suspicious on other peoples' properties. If it was instead his son, I guess the apple didn't fall far from the tree.<br/><br/>Apparently the deputy was contacted by phone (or may have been listening to his department-issued radio) and either decided to leave (if it was him) or contacted his son and advised him to leave (if it was his son). Either way, the suspect vehicle was leaving as the responding deputy arrived, no traffic stop or investigation was conducted (imagine that...) and no action was taken. Contrast with how it would've been handled had it not been a fellow LEO (or his son), the vehicle would've been stopped and likely searched, the occupant(s) would've been questioned and warned to not return or they would be arrested for trespassing.<br/><br/>It must be nice to be #abovethelaw .")

The deputy first located and followed an older vehicle fitting the description, but was advised that the vehicle in question was a newer model. Shortly thereafter the deputy located and attempted to stop a vehicle more closely fitting the description, but the driver did not stop. The driver turned eastbound onto Louisiana highway 4 and drove toward Franklin Parish at normal rates of speed, up to about 55 MPH (the speed limit), despite the deputy's emergency lights and siren. The pursuit continued for approximately 5 miles before the driver slowed and came to a stop, where he was taken into custody. Curiously, the deputy called for EMS to check the suspect out. After the suspect was cleared by EMS, he was taken to the jail. Curiously, a detective was called to the jail, and someone was taken by police car from the jail to the hospital. That person was at the hospital for over 3 hours before being taken back to the jail. It's unknown whether that was related or not.<br/><br/>Both deputies involved in this have been involved in multiple excessive force incidents, are both co-defendants in a civil rights lawsuit over a very severe excessive force incident, and are both known to be unreasonably violent with people. That is not to allege that they used excessive force on this person, but rather to say that they do have a documented history of doing so with others and that it is always a possibility. It's unknown why EMS was needed in this case. It's possible that the person may have been suffering from hypoglycemia or some other medical issue - I have actually heard reasonable-speed vehicle pursuits in the past where the suspect turned out to be diabetic and their blood sugar was dangerously low.<br/><br/>It is also unknown whether this in fact was the person and vehicle the call was about, or whether the deputy simply saw one that fit the description and decided to stop it for having an \")

_deputy-caught-trespassing-yet-again-april-30-2024.webp "In the late evening of April 30th, 2024, a sheriff's deputy in Caldwell Parish, Louisiana was dispatched to a suspicious vehicle call. Complainant who wasn't home, was advised by a neighbor that a pickup truck had been parked in her driveway for approximately 30 minutes, the driver of which was possibly fishing in her private pond, and she wanted a deputy to check it out. The vehicle's license plate returned to a fellow deputy - whose name the dispatcher either accidentally misread, or intentionally misstated in an effort to keep it off the air and therefore cover up the crime. They determined it was likely that deputy's son - but I think it could have just as easily been the deputy himself.<br/><br/>That deputy happens to be the same one who was caught earlier in the month walking through a woman's yard and shining a flashlight through her windows, and a few months prior was also caught acting suspicious near another woman's house and mailbox in a different area of the parish. If it was him this time, that makes twice in less than a month - and three times in 5 months - that he was caught and reported acting suspicious on other peoples' properties. If it was instead his son, I guess the apple didn't fall far from the tree.<br/><br/>Apparently the deputy was contacted by phone (or may have been listening to his department-issued radio) and either decided to leave (if it was him) or contacted his son and advised him to leave (if it was his son). Either way, the suspect vehicle was leaving as the responding deputy arrived, no traffic stop or investigation was conducted (imagine that...) and no action was taken. Contrast with how it would've been handled had it not been a fellow LEO (or his son), the vehicle would've been stopped and likely searched, the occupant(s) would've been questioned and warned to not return or they would be arrested for trespassing.<br/><br/>It must be nice to be #abovethelaw .")
