The River ~ Prairie ~ Sunrise project identified cartons in the Cartonography collection that have landscapes, or depictions of place, as their artwork. Through a process of editing each carton was stripped of its text and other graphic components, leaving the landscape as the sole focus for the viewer. Exhibited as a series of postcards, these landscapes are presented as truthful representations of the places they depict.
